Give members the flexibility to make a purchase as per their comfort and choice of channel.
My role
Define the requirements and experience goals - My responsibility was to work with the product and the business stakeholders to understand the business goals. Understand the target users and define the experience goals for this feature.
Cross collaboration - I was also responsible for collaborating with other stakeholders from checkout experience, item listing, and item details page owners, marketing and engineering for the smooth design and deployment.
Design reviews - Collaboration with other designers from the design systems team, product listing, product details and check-out page designers to ensure that the design standards are followed as per the guidelines.
Execution/ Implementation - Ensure that the implementation is as per the designs shared with the engineering teams. Define and execute ways of working between design and engineering to support during implementation or to resolve any bugs by testing with users or as a result of AB testing.

Available offers should be easy to find. Various brands are doing it by providing upfront visibility of the available offers.
Transparency
Once one product is added user should be prompted that they can add another product as kids glasses have BOGO offer available.
Flexibility
Users get an option to choose the available BOGO offer before checkout also if they didn’t add aditional product before moving to checkout page.
Upsell
Opportunity to upsell related accessories and additional useful items like cases, cleaner cloth and liquid etc.
Challenges
As per the business decision Buy 1 Get 1 offer is available only for youth glasses with the same prescription. Also, this offer is a time-bound limited offer. These conditions posed the below challenges -
1. How do we make the offer easy to discover while it is on?
2. How to communicate the terms and conditions of the offer clearly to the members to help them make the right choice and informed decision?
3. How do we let the user be in control while making decisions so that there is flexibility for them to continue with either a single frame or two frames?
4. How do make it easy for the members to easily add or remove frames from the selection tray if they change their mind while browsing through the selection?
Solution
Outcome
Sam’s Club members can now avail Buy 1 Get 1 offer online as well as in stores making it truly an omni-commerce experience for them. The offer was launched as part of the ‘Back to school’ promotion and was something that increased engagement, and sales leading to a higher NPS score.
Prominent positioning of the offers on the landing page to make it easier for the users to discover the available offers.
Promotion banner on the page brings out the relevant offers for the specific product category.
Offer flags on the product tiles of the product listing page showcase which products have what offers for transparency.
Relevant and detailed offer related call outs as part of the product details to further establish the trust of the users and help then in decision making.
